1. How much does it cost to use this service?

There is no set-up fee for free or paid events. Since registrants pay online with a credit card or check, a 3% fee is deducted from the total event proceeds which are mailed to the event host at the conclusion of the registration period. This fee covers all applicable bank charges.*

Each registrant pays a small transaction fee of $3.50 at the time of registration in addition to the event cost.

The following illustrates the fees paid for an event that costs $99.00 per registrant.  In this example, 10 people registered online to attend a business seminar.

When an event is set-up, the host determines how many separate prices registrants can pay to attend.  Some events have only one price, whereas others may need to have different prices for different categories of registrants.  Some events allow discounts for members of specific organizations, or for spouses that attend the event.  Some events allow a discount for those that register before a specific date.  Our intuitive event set-up process will accommodate nearly any scenario.

2. How are event proceeds collected?

RegisterToAttend.com enables registrants to pay online via check, or with the most popular credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express).  All transactions are processed using a 128-bit SSL encryption, the strongest encryption available, regardless of browser version, assuring users that their information cannot be intercepted or decrypted by anyone other than the intended recipient.

3. How does the event host receive the funds collected?

At the end of the registration period, RegisterToAttend.com forwards the funds collected to the event host, minus applicable fees.  For the protection of users of this service, in some cases RegisterToAttend.com verifies that there have been no date or location changes prior to forwarding funds to the host.

4. What happens if the event is cancelled?

If an event is cancelled, RegisterToAttend.com reserves the right to refund all funds collected to event registrants, minus the transaction fee.  If the funds have already been forwarded to the event host, it is the event host's responsibility to refund the event registrants.

To prevent the fraudulent use of its service, RegisterToAttend.com reserves the right to independently verify event details with the event venue.  If any false, misleading, or fraudulent information is discovered, RegisterToAttend.com reserves the right to cancel the host's account and use of this service, and refund any funds collected to registrants.

5. What happens if the event time or date changes?

Event hosts are allowed to make minor changes to their events.  Some of these changes cannot be prevented due to circumstances beyond the control of the event host.  However, when any such changes occur, it is the responsibility of the event host to notify all registrants.  Registrants can be notified via e-mail by logging into the Control Panel.

6. What if the event host's information changes?

Once an event has been set up, no event host changes will be accepted.

7. What happens if the event host loses his or her username or password?

Usernames and password can be retrieved by providing the e-mail address that was used during the set-up process on the logon page.  Clicking "submit" will send the corresponding username and password to the event host.

2. How secure is the information provided?

At RegisterToAttend.com, protecting your privacy is on of our top priorities.  The two most important factors that provide for your privacy and the security of your information are our use of 128-bit SSL encryption anytime your process a transaction, and our critical selection of the most secure data center available to host our data.

The SSL security protocol provides data encryption, server authentication, message integrity, and optional client authentication for a TCP/IP connection.  SSL comes in two strengths, 40-bit and 128-bit, which refer to the length of the "session key" generated by every encrypted transaction.  The longer the key, the more difficult it is to break the encryption code.  128-bit encrypted messages are 309,485,009,821,345,068,724,781,056 times harder to break than 40-bit messages.  Thus, it would take the same technology used to crack the RSA 40-bit message 1 trillion x 1 trillion years to crack a 128-bit message.  That's several trillion times longer than the age of the Earth.

4. Does RegisterToAttend.com accept refunds for events?

RegisterToAttend.com allows event hosts to determine the refund policies for their event.  Prior to the end of the event registration period, RegisterToAttend.com will process any requested refunds minus the transaction fee, in accordance with the stated refund policy. However, RegisterToAttend.com reserves the right to refund all funds collected if RegisterToAttend.com discovers that any false, misleading, or fraudulent practices were employed by the event host.

5. What happens if the event is cancelled?

If an event is cancelled, RegisterToAttend.com reserves the right to refund all funds collected to event registrants, minus the transaction fee.  If the funds have already been forwarded to the event host, it is the event host's responsibility to refund the event registrants.
